I became a therapist because it gives me the chance to see the world through the experiences and stories of so many different people. It is so hard to get outside of our own views of the world, but I am lucky enough to experience the lives of others through what they share and to sit with them during the struggles they experience to find a new approach to life. Each session, I walk away with more creativity and understanding about obstacles people face and healthy ways they find to get around these barriers.
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist and have worked as a therapist since 1991. Like Jill, I have worked with many different types of folks in many different settings. I have worked with adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, loss, severe mental illness, developmental challenges, parenting and divorce. I also have worked with children and adolescents with these issues and am familiar with the challenges that they may face in a school or family setting. Finally, I love to work with families together to provide trust and resources to get unstuck from less adaptive attempts at health. I have training and experience with ADHD, Autism, Anxiety disorders, Trauma, grief and loss, and working through the process of getting out of stuckness and making change.

I have a deep sense of joy that bubbles to the surface when I play. My joy wants even more opportunity to come out and play. What about yours? I am thrilled to collaborate with Cara in this adventure of Moving in Harmony: Yoga Playgroups for people of all ages. I love to create safe, trustworthy environments that free people to experience a range of feelings (especially the happy ones) and empower them to function at their best. Building on a foundation of strengths, drawing on humor and creativity, and supporting playful interactions helps us change stuck and unproductive patterns of interaction and increase joy in our everyday lives.
I am a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) and Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I have had the honor and privilege of working with children, families, and couples in a variety of contexts for 35 years. Continuous learning, growth, and enjoyment promote my happiness and keep my work as a therapist fresh and exciting. I have particular interest and expertise in the areas of trauma, attachment, adoption, parenting, divorce, blended and alternative families, co-parenting between separate households, loss and grief, life transitions, spirituality, and mindfulness. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages, genders, ethnicities, and spiritual orientations.
